[Scarlett Johansson (From Flickr). Not really related to this post in any way but shown here because of her golden globes wonderful personality]
Its an odd thing: When two girls meet, there’s this moment, where they measure each other up. Starts with shoes, clothing, handbag, nail polish, hair and so on.
We (the guys) simply don’t notice that split second moment. We are too busy focusing on boobs the introduction/the conversation.
I’m beginning to realize that much of what women do, as far as fashion goes, has nothing to do with men really. It’s just to outdo each other.
And they are vicious. They take each othe apart with a certain amount of ferocious savegery which would make even us men and our rivalries seem gentle by comparison.
Girls dont like attractive girls. Especially in an office setting. The office hottie (especially if she uses her assets for favors from the boys) is universally hated by her female colleagues.
Yes, I know, this (and 99% I write about) is obvious to everyone, but sometimes, I see these things, and it just occurs to me… gee.. never thought about that…
(Ed: Title should probably be girl vs girl, but girl on girl sounded kinkier)

She does look absolutely stunning there! And a talented actress too, not that it matters. He he.
Did you read about the gay reporter who felt up her boobs that night?

Actually, Isaac Mizrahi is a fashion designer but (someones bright idea) meant that he played reporter on the Golden Globes… Needles to say, the little weasel went on to feel up poor Ms. Johansson, as well as looking down Teri Hatcher’s dress (not to mention asking a rather shocked Eva Longoria about pubic hair!..)
Oh bad news - seem’s he will be part of Oscars too..
Trivia: You might get to see Mizrahi on The Apprentice, Season 1 I think…
Oddly, even on the Apprentice, Mizrahi seemed to pick on the girls, while warming up to the guys. I guess there is something to this Girl vs Girl theory of mine

sumna : what is it with you?! where do you come from? i mean, mostly this is right. this is an accurate account of when two women meet for the first time. but please dont disappoint me by generalizing. dont walk around thinking a) we measure each other up on the strikes of clothes, make up, nail polish, hand bag and outer appearance ONLY. we’re also thinking ‘how smart is she?’ ‘for how long can i have an interesting conversation with her?’, SO YEAH, we actually care about intellectual prowess too, surprise surprise. b) that the first thing a girl does when she meets another girl is to measure her up and make sure that she knows she’s not looking at competition. sheesh! really, there ARE women who aren’t inseucre and threatened by every woman they meet! i swear. there ARE women who don’t wonder how best they can outdo the woman they just met. there ARE women who aren’t arsed by if the other woman is dressed better or has a ‘better’ body. give a girl some credit, not all of us are so up in our selves. this is a serious case of stereotyping!

Lol! This is funny to me because I’m amazed at how you limit your sample to straight women. Who says girls don’t like attractive girls eh?
“They take each othe apart with a certain amount of ferocious savegery which would make even us men […] seem gentle by comparison.”
OH, Hell Yes! You have NO idea

i wasnt talking about straight women only. it just seems like the post was very blatantly saying ‘oh lookie, women are so fucking superficial and dumb that all they think about when they meet another women is if she’s gonna end up screwing the guy they want’. its not ALWAYS about rivalry, you know? and of course women can be attracted to other women. trust me, i would know.
but that’s then the same as a hetero woman being attracted to a man. the reactions are the same.
